My Personal Injuries and illness hardship

Since starting my company in November 2018, I've had very good years with Pet transportation, including hardships of COVID lock downs of 2020.

In 2023, I had an injury that occurred on a trip that I am still recovering from. 2023 was the worst year of my life as far as income and accepting jobs. Being confined to a bed for 4 months and learning to use my right leg again was a task in itself.

2024, was a great rebound, until I fractured my pelvis in December of that year.

Going into 2025, right pelvis fracture, back to using a walker. Also having very intense GI issues and many appointments for the rest of the year. I basically didn't do to much driving as a pet transporter.

We are now in February 2026, I am wanting to get back on the road, however, dealing with renewed pains from 2023 injury and ongoing GI related issues, dealing with a lose of a vehicle do to a CDL 24 foot box truck sideswiping it in NC as it was either entering the interstate or trying to pass on the right of the van. If I am not able to get on the road and do pet deliveries myself; I am going to have to pivot to either hiring drivers that are willing to use better quality pet friendly hotels and offer the same or better VIP services for my VIP clients. Also the pivot might include consultation for anyone that wants to learn about pet transporting.

I've worked very hard and had a lot of heart, sweat and even my own blood poured into my company. A pivot from myself driving to perhaps selling online services and marketing material may be the only option left besides selling or closing my company down.
